John Glass

John R. Glass of Hartland passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. He was born November 4, 1932 and was the son of the late John and Mary (Lamont) Glass. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Keith Glass, sister-in-law, Marion Glass and brother-in-law Burris Coburn.

He is survived by his sister Gwen Coburn of Keswick Ridge, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

John was a school teacher for 35 years teaching in East Coldstream, Coldstream and Hartland High School where he also served as principal for many years. He was a life time member of Trinity United Church, a member of the Carleton County Historical Society, NB Genealogical Society, Hartland Rotary, a former board member of the Dr. Walter Chestnut Library and the Central Carleton Nursing Home.

Resting at The Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Tuesday, February 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday the 17th at 2:00 p.m from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel in Hartland with Rev. Sung Min Jung officiating.
