Sydna I. M. Reid

Sydna Ina Marie Reid of Hartland passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born September 17, 1917 in Wicklow and was the daughter of the late Sharpe and Beulah (Lund) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, Granville Reid; sons, Garland “Butch” Reid, Horace (Maria) Reid; brothers, Wendell, Hewlett and Truman Smith.

Sydna is survived by three sons, Owen and Carolyn Reid of Hartland, Wayne and Joanne Reid of Bedell, Roy and Nancy Reid of Hartland; grandchildren, David Reid (Kate Somers), Deborah Smith (Peter), Jill Reid (Scott Ritcey), Joey Reid, Wayne Reid (Kathy), Natalie Reid (Gary Mangum), Jeremy Reid, Melanie Sleep (Darren), Michelle Oakes (Jason), Megan Renouf (Peter); great grandchildren, Christina Martinell (Braden), Jesse Smith, Amelia Ritcey, Eliott Ritcey, James Reid, Martin Reid, Dylan Calvert, Shelby Calvert, Sophie Mangum, Elijah Sleep, Benjamin Sleep, Anna Sleep, Taylor Oakes, Samuel Oakes, Jamie Oakes, Alexander Renouf, Claire Renouf, Sophie Renouf; great great grandson, Damon Martinell; special friend, Arvella Tilley; nieces and nephews.

Resting at the Britton Funeral, 2 High Street Hartland with visiting hours on Tuesday, May 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mel Norton and Pastor David Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland. If so desired, donations can be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter or the River Valley Cancer Support Group. www.brittonfh.ca
