After spending her early years in NB, Hilda and James resided first in Kelowna BC and then Calgary AB for 33 years. They enjoyed the nearby Rocky Mountains, camping, gardening and hosting people in their home from near and far. A graduate of Saint John Vocational School, Hilda spent many years working in payroll for Sears and Bow Valley Oil as well as assisting with their home business of Barrett Construction, Pro-Ma and Grace cosmetics. She was a lifelong member of Coldstream Baptist Church. She loved Bingo, sharing a good joke or a favorite meal with family and friends and her many adored pets over the years. In 2009, James and Hilda returned to their beloved, native NB to enjoy their final years close to their family and friends. Hilda resided at Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland since 2017, where she grew to love the staff and sitters who cared for her in a very special way.

Visitation for Hilda will be held at the Coldstream Baptist Church, 7694 Route 104, Coldstream on Saturday, October 3rd from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m with Pastor Michael Horsman officiating. The interment will be in the Waterville Cemetery following the service. Please be prepared to social distance and possibly wear a mask.

The family would like to say Thank You for the gentle and dedicated care that was provided to her by the staff of CCNH, her personal sitters and homecare workers that gave her a wonderful quality of life in the later years.
