Shirley Ella Knowles

Shirley Ella Knowles of Victoria Corner passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born February 4, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Arnold and Alfreda Peterson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Knowles; brother, Carl Peterson; sister-in-law, Janette Peterson; brothers-in law, Dean Scott, John Beal.

Shirley is survived by her children, Susan (Peter) Culberson of Mount Pleasant, Stephen Knowles of Gardiner, Maine, Becky (Kevin) Betts of Doaktown, Beverly (Brett) Trecartin of Rockland, Timothy (Pamela) Knowles of South Paris, Maine, Cheryl (Kirk) Harper of St. Thomas, Ontario; grandchildren, Heidi (Rob) Bannister, Cindy (Ben) Kent, Jason (Abby) Knowles, Jonathan (Meredith) Knowles, Kelsye (Brent) Edwards, Drew (Erica) Betts, Aaron (Amanda) Trecartin, Naomi (Jacob) Craig, Bradley (Kayla) Trecartin, Talia Knowles, Justin Knowles, Kayla (Steven) Dahl, Michael Harper, Andrew Harper, Derick Harper; great grandchildren, Keira Bannister, Dreya Bannister, Merryn Kent, Reaghan Kent, Desmond Knowles, Etta Knowles, Brydon Knowles, Evelyn Edwards, Ainsley Edwards, Levi Betts, Caroline Betts, Oliver Trecartin, Ella Trecartin, Karlee Craig, Oakley Craig, Sawyer Trecartin, Grant Dahl; siblings, Vernon (Phyllis) Peterson, Thetis Scott, Lloyd Peterson, Naida Beal, Gary Peterson, Malcolm (Sharon) Peterson, Mavis (Ranald) McCarty, Barbara (Jim) Appleby; sister-in-law, Donna Peterson; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28th at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland from 6 to 8 p.m. Social distancing is required, and pleased be prepared to wear a mask if necessary. The funeral service will be private. However, the service will be live streamed at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday the 29th and can be viewed at nbbi.ca.
