Owen Granville Reid
1942-2021
Owen Granville Reid of Hartland passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born November 25, 1942 and was the son of the late Granville and Sydna Reid. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Horace (Maria) Reid, Garland Reid; and sister-in-law, Nancy Reid.
Owen is survived by his wife, Carolyn Reid of Hartland; children, Joseph Reid of Olds, AB, Jill (Scott Ritcey) Reid of Woodstock; grandchildren, Amelia Ritcey, Eliot Ritcey; brothers, Wayne (Joanne) Reid of Woodstock, Roy (Lori) Reid of Hartland; nieces and nephews.
Owen worked for Craig Manufacturing for over 35 years. After retiring he continued working with metal building railings, wind chimes and crafts. He loved the outdoors and especially loved outdoor activities with his kids. He also loved taking his grandchildren for ice cream.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland on Monday, September 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday the 14th at 1:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Devon McAllister officiating.
