Marjorie E. Mathias

Marjorie E. Mathias of Hartland, a pillar of devotion and love, peacefully transitioned on April 15, 2024. She radiated boundless affection, particularly for her beloved husband Keith, the cornerstone of her life.

Her heart extended beyond bloodlines, embracing her grandchildren and the "extra" grandchildren who found family in her warmth. Marjorie shared an indelible bond with her siblings, fostering a special connection that weathered time.

Marjorie's love for camping was surpassed only by her joy in sharing those moments with loved ones. At the campfire's glow, she forged memories cherished by all fortunate to join her.

Active and spirited, Marjorie reveled in senior games, golf, and any sport that invited her participation. Her volunteerism and generosity showcased her big heart, leaving an imprint on countless lives.

Marjorie was born October 10, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marjorie Freckelton; Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Keith Mathias; brothers, Alfred Freckelton, Carl (Heather) Freckelton, Donald Freckelton; brother-in-law, Aubrey MacDonald.

Marjorie is survived by her two children, Kelcy (Kent) Kuhn and Sean Mathias, both of Hartland; granddaughters, Samantha Kuhn (Jenny Miller), Tory Kuhn; "adopted" granddaughter, Stephanie Roach; great grandson, Myles Kuhn; sisters, Shirley Freckelton, Esther MacDonald; sister-in-law, Mona Freckelton; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland on Saturday, April 20th from 1 to 2:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor David Wilcox officiating. The interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. www.brittonfh.ca. 506-375-4343

Gratitude extends to Carleton Place, Perth Hospital and Carleton Manor for the compassionate care that eased her passage. Marjorie's legacy of love, laughter, and boundless compassion will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
