Ray I. Kinney

Surrounded by his family, Ray Irving Kinney of Hartland passed away at his home on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Ray was born July 29, 1954 in Woodstock and was the son of the late Eirvon and Helen (DeMerchant) Kinney. He was also predeceased by four siblings, Shirley Boyer, Barbara Kinney, Rose Maher and Roy Kinney. 

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rosa; his three children, Denise Prosser (Jeremy), Joy Prosser (Justin) and Ray Jacob Kinney; six grandchildren, Logan Prosser, Leah Prosser, Cohen Prosser, Peyton Prosser, Myra Kinney and Oryx Kinney; one brother, Stephen Kinney (Mavis) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 3 pm from the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High St., Hartland. Pastor Brian Murray will officiate. The interment will be in the Peoples Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
