Perry D. Ingersoll

Rev. Perry Dennis Ingersoll (aged 80) went home to Jesus on April 17, 2026, after a long illness. 

Perry was born to parents Gilbert and Armina Ingersoll on October 30,1945, in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick. He enjoyed mechanics and helping his dad with lighthouse keeping duties.

In 1966, he graduated from Bethany Bible College, married, and started his pastoral journey. Perry lived his life guided by the Lord, which led him to pastor churches across the Atlantic District of the Wesleyan Church including Crystal, Staceyville, Belvedere (ME),  Deer Island, Marysville, Hartland (NB), Port Maitland, West Head and Sandford, (NS). Upon retiring in 2011, Perry and Jean moved to Brown’s Flat NB, where he enjoyed working with the Beulah Camp work crew. His life was built upon prayer: Perry prayed for everyone. If he knew you, he prayed for you.

Perry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Jean Ingersoll (née Graham), as well as his two children David (Melonie) Ingersoll of Riverview NB and Kimberley (Raymond) Messenger of Cape Sable Island NS. He is also survived by his brother, David (Genevieve) Ingersoll, and his sisters Edith (Michael) Corey and Shirley Myers. Perry was also the grandfather to six grandchildren, who will miss him dearly: Lauren, Jordan, Alicia  (Richard), Leandra, Janaya, and Jamin. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Richard Myers.

Special thanks to Dr. Wood, the medical staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital, Dr. McKinnon, and the kidney clinic as well as the Extramural team who worked tirelessly to make Perry comfortable in his last days.

Public visitation will take place at 12:00 pm, with a funeral service held at 1:30 pm, on Monday, April 20, 2026. Both the visitation and the service will be held at Beulah Camp, NB with Rev. Jay Guptill officiating. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland, N.B. on Tuesday, April 21, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Kingswood University or Beulah Camp and Conference Center.
