Archie O. Shaw

Archie O. Shaw of Simonds passed away on Sunday Evening, April 29, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born February 12, 1920 and was the son of the late Oscar and Laura (Orser) Shaw. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Raymond Briggs; siblings, Mary Vick, Christine (Machar) Young, Allen Shaw, Mildred (Reid) Downey, Lorne (Betty) Shaw and Ruth (Eldon) Ebbett.

Archie is survived by his wife, Leota Shaw of Simonds; children, Donna (Vernon) Alexander of Simonds, Judy Briggs of Lindsay, Ivan (Norma) Shaw of Simonds; grandchildren, Heath (Suzanne) Alexander, Bonnie (Brian) Cheney, Trena (Richard) Orser, Shawna (Doug) Grant, Kevin (Nancy) Briggs, Ann (Jimmy) Dickinson, Rhonda (Blaine) Tompkins, Jeff (Kim Herron) Shaw, Amanda (Will) Snowdon; great grandchildren Diedre Alexander, Dayna Alexander, Danielle Alexander, Jordan Cheney, Jennifer Cheney, Jonathan Cheney, Caleb Orser, Kyle Orser, Celena-K Orser, Mitchell MacMillan, Melissa MacMillan, Graham (Kristyn) Briggs, Lindsay Briggs, Parker Briggs, Alisha Dickinson, Samantha Tompkins, Ryan Tomkins, Brayden Snowdon, Gavin Snowdon; sister-in-law, Marguerite Shaw of Hartland; brother-in-law, Clem Vick of Campbellton; several nieces and nephews.

Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m from the Hartland United Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Thompson and Rev. Russell Giasson officiating. Interment will be in the Simonds Cemetery.
