Ica Marie Biggar, a resident at MacLeod’s Special Care Home in Hartland for 13 years, formerly of Juniper, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born October 3, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Harriet Marr. She was predeceased by her husband C. Maurice Biggar; sisters, Florence (Barent) Rogers, Margaret(Raymond) DeLong, Bertha(Robert) Hambleton, Elnora (Ray) Cyr, Madeline (Hugh) Price, and Rowena(Mcleod) Ellis; brothers, Roy Marr, Ralph Marr and Fred (Berniece) Marr. Ica was the youngest and last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ica is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Larry) Welch of New Maryland: son, Daren Biggar of Mount Pleasant;two grand daughters, Angela Welch of Fredericton and Tracy (Justin) Lord of Edmonton, AB; several nieces and nephews.

Ica was a homemaker and took pride in her home. In her earlier years, she enjoyed getting up early and making bread and rolls. She attended church services in Waterville. She used to love to shop, enjoyed listening to country music, especially Charlie Pride, watching Soap Operas, and in her later years enjoyed watching the Gaither Gospel Hour.

A special thank you to the staff at MacLeod's Special Care Home, where Ica was a resident for 13 years and especially liked to spend time with the other residents on the sunporch.

Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Monday, April 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Matthews officiating. Interment will be in the Biggar Ridge Cemetery at a later date. If so desired donations can be made to the Biggar Ridge Cemetery. www.brittonfh.ca
